Hello everyone!

Introduce Yourself

Thanks! I've actually been meaning to do that for the past week. My scalp is feeling better than it has for years. The soda and tea tree oil seems to have sorted my dandruff problem out, but my hair is quite dry so I can easily imagine that it will eventually start drying my scalp out as well.

Hello everyone!

Introduce Yourself

Hey all,

I've been meaning to introduce myself for awhile now, but my laptop disagreed with me. Anyway, I'm 26 year old Finnish girl living in Wale,s and about two weeks ago I decided to let my hair dread up.

I was inspired by my husband, whose 4 month old baby dreads look absolutely awesome. Another big reason for this decision was the fact that my hair has been driving me crazy for years. I could brush it 10 times a day, but it would still tangle up. My hair also sections very easily so I after 26 years of fighting it, I finally decided to give up and let it do what it does best :)

I also really liked the idea of keeping my hair completely natural and not using all kinds of chemicals to keep it clean.

I have been washing my hair with bicarbonate soda and tea tree oil for about two weeks now, and this is how it looks (there's a few twist and rip section in there as well, but only about 6):

Other than growing dreads, I love cooking, gardening, painting, drawing and horror :)
