The Beginning of Universe Babies

Member Journals and Timelines

I have been thinking about that, so I'm planning to separate a few of the large ones... also my hair has become a lot curlier with the humidity so often the loose- ish hairs puff out. Thanks for the advice :)

The Beginning of Universe Babies

Member Journals and Timelines

I have finally joined this site after literally researching all year.

So My dreads are 1 month and 3 days, I started them with twist n rip, from there I have left them to grow, I wash them, seperate them and love them with all my heart... I'm proud of this step in my life.

I will be showing them off, any comments or advice will always be appriciated :)

This is the only picture I can really find that shows my hair before:

This is the beauty of living

Introduce Yourself

So... I have had my lovelies for a month and 3 days exactly ^.^

I Have wanted dreads for a good 4/5 years but the schools I went to in SA never allowed them, so on the day of my final exam started the journey.

Twist n Rip to start and then just LEAVE them be...

They are my pillow, my umbrella when it rains, they hug my back and make me feel safe

and for the first time ever I feel like I can accept myself.

They are my friends and saviours.

Where I come from and in my area of SA, a white girl with dreads is NOT common AT ALL...

Most have only been complimentary, describing them as "Unique, beautiful, exotic, SO YOU and amazing"

I smile all the time now...

Just LOVE
