01/02/12 07:48:09PM @elkeinalaska: @Audra. I have some awkward ones too. I redid a couple after about a month or two in. But unless something is pulling strangely I'd just leave them.
How did your dreads turn out sectioning wise? I sectioned and tnr mine myself. My sectioning is a bit awkward. Would you recommend me just redoing them now? Or see how it goes?

Yeah, I don't mind the different sizes so much as I didn't grab enough like along my hairline in the back. So I have really scrawny ones at the nape and then my biggest ones right above And my biggest oops was grabbing sections to either side of the center of the spriral at the top back of the head. That left the dead center (most sensitive)exposed. It bothered me so much I joined them together which makes for a very wide flat section. I have some weird small ones in the front as well. I wouldn't mind if they were all chubbier. My fattest ones are the ones that I back combed. I love them the most. <3. I'll have to look and see what that henna blend is. I don't recall what mine was? I'll have to dig out the box, I ordered a LOT :P

Thank you this is the second time I have hannaed it with dreads. The first time I used henna and some indigo and it was a little more coppery. This time I used body art henna from Mehandi.comYou just mix the powder with some water and lemon juice, rest it overnight. Apply to dry hair, wrap your head in plastic. Steep for 2-4 hr. Then spend the next couple hours washing. I rinsed for an hour, lathered 2x, and still was leaking a little bit of red. I had a NYE party so I just wrung it out and left it. I'll probably need to lather another time to get the remaining powder out. I wouldn't try it on fragile baby dreads because you have to be very vigorous to get the henna out.I conditioned with aloe/jojoba.I would REALLY recommend reading everything on the mehandi.com site before using henna. Avoid the boxed henna kits until after you research how henna is marketed and sold.@change. At first I back combed a few, then I switched to TnR. I did do a fair amount of tucking in loose hair during the first 2 months. My dreads are so flipping loopy and zigzaggy that I gave up with tucking stuff in. I did it all myself. My sectioning is pretty random. And that is probably the only thing I would change if I were to start over. That and I would have started them sooner (ie, not on such long hair-it was waist length) and I would have been using henna all along rather than chemical color. O_o
Thank you Foxy
awesome locks
