Well, today, I officially embark on my journey to grow my dreads. Everyone has said their goodbyes to my lovely straight hair. I am super excited to include everyone here along in my journey!

Thank you everyone! Now that the hair has dried, it fell into place T_T I'm sad. Can it just hurry up and and loc?!

You can do baking soda and acv washes which I think they don't recommend anymore... But it will help it lock and they say the dreadlock shampoo hurries the process. Just keep it  very clean and before you know it you'll be locked up!!

I am begging for the mess, and the mess has no interest in showing itself.

Nothing has been brushed or parted, and I even tussled it up while sleeping. It's still as straight as ever T_T

I think that's the problem I had. My hair is always straight as fuck.

After 4 months I decides to twist and rip instead. Have you thought about doing that if you don't make much progress?

I would really rather not. I'll give it a few months before I do anything.

good idea! In your side picture you can already see some sectioning happen! A little more length is also helpful for the process. You could also spray some seasalted water on your hair a couple of hours before a wash, that helps locking, too.
