I just got my dreads done at a salon and they are pretty spiky (sticking out from my head, only a few of them droop down). I'm wondering if over time as they become more locked if they'll not be spiky anymore? Id prefer if they werent.

it doesnt say so tell us how they were created and what products were used
stay away from salons!

Sorry for the late response, but here are some pictures as of today. Still have not washed them or put anything in them, have only been palm rolling them. Just got them done 5 days ago.
All the salonist did was backcomb, twist, palm roll, and used a small amount of wax
any ammount of wax is evil
call and get a refund as wax is a dread destroyer
now u needto either get wax b gone to remove the wax.. wich the salon should pay for
or start over right using twist and rip or going natural
the wax is why they stand up and it will ruin themn forever if its not removed

yea start over those sections are bigger then u want u need the wax out u shouldnt palm roll or twist
looks like that salons never done dreads before ..all salons should be avoided when growing dreads
all always screw them up
all you need to dread is to wash your hair thats it it dreads itself
or in yoir type hair start off by twisting in sections.. random sizes are great but the biggest should be 1/2 that size no products then just wash with a dread shampoo every several days andwait for it to dread
never everever put wax in dreads
