Hi, i'm a guy from portugal, i have made my dreads like 2 years ago, but i had long hair already. So, im happy with them but i feel a pressure from society every spot i go, from the school to the searching work place... and i usually don't care about that but now i start feeling bad in certain locations, so i have 33 dreads, im thinking on cut 22 and the 11 who left get them together in one, what do you think about that? advices? that 11 will be on my left back side...

Your dreads r hella sexy. They look good and are pretty neat. I would not do anything to them. ... but that's just my opinion ;)

dont crochet isn't maintaining its destroying all your doing is breaking hairs then fixing the broken hairs by breaking more

they need no maintenance at all just wash and separate

justdont separate and they grow together or put a bead over them

but

11 together will make 1 massive dread wich will cause pain and be a huge mold risk taking a week to dry

just dont cut or comb them out stop the crochet (they woint be so stiff or scratchy then)

let them recover

crochet recovery takes a very long time its dread abuse

these are mine 100% natural never backcombed crochetted palm rolled waxed nothing i never did a single thing to them except wash and separate

buy crocheting your only damaging them severely making them stuff scratchy (broken hairs making them feel rough) and creating the need for more crochet ..destroying them in the process

and preventing proper dreading

all hair dreads naturaly and thats the healthiest best way

no u would never abuse my dreads with crochetr

they are 23 almost 24 years

throw away the hook today and see for yourself

but got to warn ya you did alot of damage already so during the recovery process they will get very frizzy and fuzzy..thats all the hairs you broke that then pop out

eventualy they will sick back in on thier own but will take a long time..crochet is just extremely bad for them..one of the worse things you can do

look around the site you will see most of us with all diferent hair types did absolutely nothing to dread

but you will also see many cases of crochet ruining dreads
