Crochet tams which is best yarn or wool

Do they both work the same or is wool better than yarn and does a tam help the knotting process and is it good to sleep with them onThx Namaste

yarn is made of wool, or other stuff pllike acrylic but you want wool yarn

yes it helps to wear a wool tam

but sleep in it? thats silly it will most likely end up on the floor

I sleep with my tam occassionally, I did for quite a while at the beginning but now I usually only wear it if my hair's bugging me, I'm driving, in the mornings when I wake up, cooking anytime the hair my get in my face and drive me nuts lol. and I have a pure wool tam and 2 tams that I don't know the exact make up or the yarn even used but I love them all the same and wear them all at intervals, but haven't really charted any difference in hair knottings after wearing different ones.
