Hemp "necklace" attach to dread??

Hey everyone, im starting my dread soon hopefully this week, i was wondering if this is a good idea if i attch a "hemp necklace" into my dread?

I personally think its awesome to attach anything to your dreads especially if it means something to you! I would wait till your dreads mature a little first though!
