dreadlocks

why do dreadlocks sometimez look ashy.wut causes this and how do you avoid it?

pics?it could be the wax u used showing or mold even or severe dryness maybe even its hard to guess without close up pics

yea i had bought a bottle of dreadhead wax like three months ago i used it twice til i seen yo site an i bet i saved my dreadlocks.now im juss workin on makin em look natural

Mine will get a little 'ashy' lookin if they get dead skin built up on them. This'll usually happen to the dreads around my face, they rub against my forehead and cheek all night and then have a very slight 'dusting'. I just rinse with some hot water and problem solved. Then I scrub my face till it's pink!!
