First time getting dreads and my hair style is a long mohawk so a dreadhawk, i have some questions

I want my dreads to look like waylon reavis'es dreads ... i was wondering how many i should get , i want them to be on the skinner side like his and also im haveing some friends do the backcombing method and was wondering how to section the dreads out .. any tips would be much appreciated

dont backcomb i dunno whu]o that person is but all u want is

to sectuion slmall and twist n rip

or

dont secvtion let it dread seperate any that get bigger then u want

whatever uy do use no wax or product at all no crochet

u are better off lettiong it dread itself

If you want to backcomb them I would recommend sectioning them a bit bigger than what you want them to end up because they will compact down as they mature

actualy they end up the size of the sections

dreads normaly thicken as they mature but backcomb starts off like clownlike puffy sausages that then thin dowbn..then thicken up

eventualy ending up where they shjould be the size u sectioned

excessive palm rolling crocheting wax/palm rolling can make them thinner then they should be tho

but dreads should end up the same size as the sections roughly under healthy conditions
