Three months, loose tips

I have curly hair (well, had) and after three months with dreads, my tips are loose and aren't really knotting at all, they look like my normal hair....is backcombing the tips (my dreads were created by backcombing) to help them lock up an appropriate solution? Also, I tie my hair back with a bandana or big elastic band to eat...is this going to harm my dreads?

dont use an elastic band and the tips are better off loose leave em alone never rev=bckcomb

some may blunt some may not its better if they dont blunt tips dry 5 times slower

water runs out the ends if tips are loose

be glad thet are loose and your only 3 months in usualy around hen backcombing falls apart compl,etely so if that hasnt happened then count yoirself lucky
