essential oils and baby dreads

Are essential oils added to a baking soda wash, or sprayed on ok for baby dreads (very fine silky hair) or will the oils act as a conditioner and make them unravel?

they are safe you use only as few drops to alot of water they are not oily like conditioning type oils they are medicinal youd have to use way way way too much to cause harm like a spoonful ,,a whioole bottle

but you dont so if u use only a few drops they are fine
