Hi!!I have read some posts about lopsided roots and other stuffs... But i cant find any problem like mine. So, lets begin.I'd made a deal with my GF that in her graduation i would cut my hair or dreadlock it... The graduation ball was in a Saturday. In Friday, I decided that i couldnt let my dream to dreadlock slip away, like i did in the past.I started to make the dreads by myself using a crochet hook. Took me 15 hours to finish, a lot of beer and I got late to my GF graduation party...But.... Since I did it by myself, and my time was ending, my root sections got REALLY BIG and most of the locks does not start at the center of the sections.I have now only 16 dreads. And a gap in the middle back of my head...See the picture to have an ideia on how weird it is....There are another pics at my profile page!!Is there a way to fix it?Sorry for my bad English... I am brazillian, and I just need to practise my English

1st off crochet is an extremely bad way to dread so u probably will want to comb them out and start over right (dont get drunk when you do it..lol)16 dreads will be huge fat dreads but since u crocheted Again big mistake) they will be 1'2 the size they should be leaving huge gaps betwereen they will be very stiff and scratchy toomy advice is comb them out very verty carefully and startt overwhy so carefully? 1 crochet is extremely dammaging when done with extreme care..u did them while drunk so im sure did way weay more dammagesoalk em in condotioiner comb out from the tips very slowlythis can take another day or 2 but thats what happens when u rush into dreads without knowledge ()9not being criticle just telling it like it is)so when u got em out do nothing fir at least 2 weeks wash but dont touch the hair allow it to heal and to section itself naturalyat 2 or 3 weeks then decide wether u should go on dreading naturaly or twist and rip(given the damage u already did id recomend natural but its your choice to make)\throw away the crochet hook and never touch it again

lol!!Maybe i should!!About fat dreads, i really dont care if they become fat and stiff, i think it is a style, and i like it too. The scratchy part i am getting used to it, also! It feels better now, 3 weeks later! What really concerns me, is the fact that i didnt make the section uniform... Leaving that strange gap at the back of my head. And i think that the firsts dreads i made really got some bigger damage, because i didnt know what was going to happen!! The last ones were made more carefully!And... I only really drank in the first day, when i did about 5 dreads, from the front of my head!Comb them out isnt an option now... i am really out of time studying, working and making what we call here P.F.C(Graduation Final Project). I really consumes a looooooooot of time...If i let my hair grow, and then never use my crochet hook again, is there a chance for it to become better? If for the rest of my life, everything in my dreads be natural and not forced! Thanks for ur reply!! Btw! Nice dreads!!(Sorry if something looks like i am being rude or unpolite, its the lack of practises) soaringeagle said:

nah not rude i felt i was being too blunt and might sound rude toowelli would condition them a good bit to loosen them up alot that will help those huge ones get huge and close the gap but ..they will be big..really bogif u dont mind then start encouraging them to loosen up so they can properly dreadso condition them fairly heavily next few washes and see how much they loosen up then when theyre soft loose and fatter just leave them alonethey ook painfully tight

Now i am afraid about how big it wil be!!But, i can try.. If i dont like, i can cut it all, again, and for the 3rd time, try once more! But, if it happens, it will be natural ones or i will be more genttle to my dreads and make the sectioning the right way. Thanks!! soaringeagle said:
