So, I've had my locks for about two months now..and because its so incredibly straight, and doesn't want to be anything else BUT straight, I've had to backcomb a few of them..and also used the twist and rip method. The problem that I'm having though is a few of the lcoks have been coming together nicely at the root..but another handful of them are pretty straight and unknotted at he root, but pretty knotted at the middle/ends. Should I leave them alone and keep them sectioned or should I try to backcomb the roots? (Theres no way I can twist and rip that far up there with no strands of hair to do so) I'm sure eventually with thime they'll dread themselves..but Because if my hair type I've been debating about it. Also, does it matter how long you have your dreads in before you put beads/hemp in them? Or does it matter?
