Speaking of jewelry, cheap old children's-sized rings would be fun. I have some old pinky rings from when I was in high school sitting and rotting in my jewelry box... maybe this could be quick deco?

i totally agree Valerie! rings are a fun way to dress up dreads, also I have rummaged through my jewelry boxes and found old piercing jewelry like spiral belly rings and old eye brow rings, and these are also an easy, fun way to add something to your locks whenever you want, and are super easy to take out.. you can also sew little trinkets to your locks in a loose stitch and just remove easily when you want them out.. there are many possibilities ! indeed!
