Hey guys! I want to start dreading naturally, but I have some questions.

Firstly, my hair is dyed red, my natural color is brownish (almost brunette), should I dye my hair to a color similar to my own so it doesn't look wierd once it grows?

Second, my hair has different lengths (I used to have bangs), shortest being about 4 inches and longest goes just below my shoulders. Should I wait until the shorter one grows some more, or can i start right now?

Take a look at Ixchels newer pics. She's got dyed red hair with her natural pale blonde growing out. It looks awesome. So red with brown tips would look cool too.

And like Eagle said, you can grow them now. There's no reason to wait. t'll take about a year for them to mature, so in that time, your hair will have grown out a few inches, making it even easier for you to get the bangs started.

I agree with what everyone else said they look nice two tone :) but if you decide you don't like the colour growing through you can always dye it, i recently dyed mine and it was easy so don't worry :)
