how beneficial is seasalt spray for forming dreads?

I've restarted natural dreads about 3 weeks ago. Things are knotting up fairly quick. I was wondering if a sea salt spray is advised for such young dreads and if it really makes a difference?

it does help the pink sea salt from dreadlockshampoo seems to helt hundreds of times more but if its knotting up quickly why accelerate it so u only hae to seperate more?

if its slow then use an accelerator
