i have been dreading for 1.5 yrs. Started my hair off with rubberbands and crochet. Been neglecting ever since. No wax.

Well..... Not technically neglect dreads, since you crocheted. But, they look good anyway. It's great that you didn't continue crocheting; they will have had plenty of recovery time.
