How do I get bells to stay in my dreads?

I really would like some cute little jingle bells to adorn my dreadies. I've heard of people doing this before and I think it's a really cool idea.

The only problem is i can't figure out how to get themattachedto a dread. I could always tie them in with some hemp of string, but i would like toattachthem another way if possible.

Also my dreads are only 3.5 months old, do i need to wait longer to put bells in them?

what i did was split the loose tip put it thriugh the bgells loop and tie a knot or tnr so it permenantly gets dreaded in

Wow that sounds awesome Ive never seen or heard of anyone doing this before! Definitely going to give this a shot in a couple years when my hair is long enough
