Washing with a soap bar

So im probably just going to switch from bonners because i dont like how its working so im gonna get a soap bar from the link to the left. I was wondering though how do you use the soap bar? Do you rub it on your head or do you lather it into your hands and wash? Hopefully i dont sound like a fool asking this haha
