Neglect Method & Bar Shampoo

Greetings! I have been wondering if there is any harm using a Shampoo Bar whilst starting out on the neglect method. Will the rubbing of the bar on your hair disturb the process or will it help? Any thoughts are much appreciated!

If you are going the neglect method, you're really only seeing forward progress. Bars are fine to use, no matter how you start, but because you're scrubbing your scalp a bit more roughly, it can loosen them up a bit. Liquid is much gentler on baby locks. But bars won't harm your hair

if you mean dread shampoo bars but if u mean dove bars or something those arent good u cant use just any soap bars

I think that the liquid is gentler for newly forming dreads... but I suppose you can emulsify the dread bar into your hands and then apply to the scalp as they are starting out.
