beads in new neglect method dreads

i'm only on day 4 of my neglect journey, but looking fwd to decorating my babies. any advise on when and howto put in beads? any type of bead/accessory to avoid? thanks! :)

Beads are awesome, the will help it dread up in a hurry.
Take a loop of thread, put to loop through the bead. Wet the tip of the hair, so comes a point. Catch that point in the in the loop. And then pull it through with the loop.

Avoid long beads. If a beads is an inch long it will trap a lot water inside

Sweet, thanks! Very helpful. My hair is already sectioning itself. Should I put a bead on each one? Do I move them periodically once they're in?

They are not necessary but they do help. You don't have to put one every one. You can move them if you want if you don't they will be more permanent. As a dread thickens those will be stuck in there for years

That answered my questions. Thanks, Soaring Eagle. I appreciate all the helpful info on this site. That gave me the courage to finally do dreads and go the natural route.
