Hey I'm Lizzie and I'm new here, I have been dreading my bottom half of my dreads for eight months and my top half for four. My question is, my roots have about two good riches of where they are very loose almost not dreaded but the rest of my dreads are pretty locked up. Do I need to do anything to my roots to keep them dreaded, or should I let them do their thing and lock up naturally? Please help! Thanks :]

leave em anything you do to foerce em to tighten weakens them its normal to have 1-3 inches loose up to 8 months even 13 then they tighhten to bout 1/2 inch and stay there

yeah, leave them. Mine are 5 years old and the last inch or so is still loose. The eventually knot up and mat.
