i'm pretty set on starting my natural dreads, but it just seems too easy...

is separating them really the only thing I have to do? and washing with a non residue shampoo? when should i start to separate them and how often? thanks for helping!! :)

yup its that ez start seperating when they start to combine or get too big how often depends ogn how much they try to congo

weekly is typical some can go months others datys

Yep, it's really that easy. I notice that if I go a few days without separating mine, they start joining together, so I separate mine once a day or two days. It depends on how quickly your hair does it really

Is it a good idea to put those mini hair elastics around the sorta/baby-dreads that are formed? There are some locks/baby dreads that I really like, in size and location etc, and I want to keep it that way, so I've put an elastic on each to keep them. Bad idea?

ninono no elastics at all evder

bad idea

just seperate anything that tries to join it

elastics after just a ciuple days will undo knots in a week they can become swallowed entirely they can melyt they can rot if u must ue anything use a bead never elastics

thety can cause indentations that are weak points too

take em oit right away

nah but use a loose tie r something or better ywet tie 1 dread round another if u must use an elastic take it off the same day dont leave it in for dat=ys

tho u can ..u shouldnt too much of the time either they should be free as much as u can

oh alright i gotcha! it's only been a week and my hair is already getting matted on the underside.. yayyy :)
