DREADS NEED HELPPPPPPP

First off, I have curly hair and my dreads are 2 months old. Okay, so now the problem....

I know that dreads come undone before they tighten, but I was wondering if it's normal to only have about 1-2 inches of actual dread? Hahaha. The rest is all loose hair...
PLEASE HELP.

Also, for work and school they have to be a little bit neater. So, I straighten the loose tips.... could this probably be why?

yea why would u straighten the loose tip s straightening meanning you comb them?

your totaly normal though especialy if its shortish

Nope, I never comb my hair. I just use a straightener.
