Dandruff...methods to keep it under control?

So, I had dandruff before I got dreadlocks but could keep it under control with Head&Shoulders. I hear that using shampoo with residue (spelling?) in it is bad for the Locks. So I'm asking; does anybody know any remedies for keeping dandruff under control? It sucks...I hate scratching my head and having my scalp fall off haha Any advice would be much appreciated =]

in1 gallon container mix 1/3 cup bakingsoda 10 drops teatree 30 drops pepermint 30 rosemary (essential oils) pour over head (oops add water 1 gallon)

let soak 10 min

rinse well

mix same ammount or less acv (apple cider vinager) and water pour on if young dreads rinse right away and use less if mature use 1/3 cup and rinse after 3 min

use warm/hot to rince but then do a cold after rinse to really help it the most

Essential oils? Just any form of oil from a plant?

esntial oils are a specific way of prepairing them for maximum medicinal values

theyre very strong

u want teatree rosemaery and pepermint at least

i add lavandser and lemongrass too but the other 3 are most important for danfdruff controll

Well, the shampoo I used before I got my locks, as far as I know based on research and such, has stuff in it that is not too healthy for them. So it got out of hand for awhile, but then I found a head & shoulders product that uses aloe in it and it has been working fine and...*checks head* not much dandruff as far as I can tell at the moment =]
