hi everyone,

my dreads are 7.5 months old and i decided to dye them

i used a regular dying color which is bought in storesand includes peroxide and a bottle of the color...

wheni was finished, i tried to wash it really goodwith water only, but after that i noticed i have parts of some of the dreads wich are white (mostly near the roots) and when i squeeze it a white&sticky liquid comes out

i tried to wash it even harder but i couldn't get it all out

now it seems my dreads are moist

i am very scared of having to lose my dreads

please help!!!!

(sorry for my english...)

keep washing them use the conditioners thst came with it that deactivate it

soak soak soak swqueexzimg watter therough

you made the big mistake of crochet crochet makes dreazds way way way too tight so its extra extra hardsx to wash stuff out

then yiu used harsh dyes from a store these are also not that great to use

you gootta keeo washing it out after using that conditioner

(conditioning wuill help recover from the crochet)

your gonna want to put alotta water thriugh em squeeze from root to tip over and over

other may have more tips but id get onthat right away till thety post more

thank you!

but are you sure the conditioner that came with it is really good for dreads?

isn't it better to get a natural conditioner?

by the way,

i have in fact did the mistake of using crochet, but when i realized it was bad i threw it away

so now i am almost doing zero-maintanance

don't use the conditioner it came with!!!!! that stuff is a menace to hair. I didn't even use it on my undreaded hair ...I would dye it every other weak with cheap store dye but never use their conditioner. That condition is so residue heavy that it made my straight hair feel greasy after using it. I can't imagine trying to get it out of dreads

You just need to soak and rinse like crazy, maybe even wash your hair with something mild like Dr. Bronners.
