i posted about a month back introducing myself n jus started the dreading process. i did a lil bit of everything. backcomb, twist n rip, n some wax which to my surprise has not effected my dreads at all. heres some pics of a bout a months progress.

my dreads started natural from not brushing my long curly hair for awhile, i didnt brush em out n start fresh like i shoulda when i started to dread my hair. so im guessin theyll have that twisty like apperance for a month or two more till they become more solid.
actualy the twist like lok is from the wax that is indeed effectint them see how they dont look dreaded but twisted thats gotta have waxholduing em like that or theyd fqll apart also see how they stand outfrom your head some
thats the wax stiffness
they dont look too waxy but im beting u if u do wax removal u will see an excelerated progress

i havnt had wax in them over a month n ive washed my hair 3 times with organic residue free shampoo. so if theres any wax its gotta be a small amount. whats the best way to remove wax from ur dreads? the dreads dont feel waxy at all by the way either tho, they feel real dry.
its inthe core and dont wash out
boiling gets some out
vinaager soaks (undiluted) get soime out
scrubbing with dawbn dish soap gets some out (u gotta use alot)
then theres orabnge oil based industrial strength solvants
the bodty splash (in dread wax removal page)
or gunk out or dissolve it
whatever methods u use tajkes time and effort and u should keep doing it long after u think its all gone
cause the crap really is evi,l and extremely hard to remove
