I think my dreads are going to get molded sooon

Every time I take a shower the dreads in the back gets wet then it smells bad when they are dry

any wax or big beads in em if they smell bad theyre already mooding but have no fear u can fix it

step 1 long soak in very sytrong white vinager lavender mix 3/4 vinager 1/4 warer

buncha drops lavenfder

soak a long time

hot hot water rinse

sun or blow dry thoroughly

repeat till ok sun dry if u can

never wrap in a towel or tie up when wet

or cover

as they dry fluff em alot to get air all around

umm how often u shower and get em wet hopw often u wash em]

how do u dry em

I shower every night ,I wash my dreads every other day or maybe 2-4 days sometimeWhen I dry them I sqeeze most of the water out then I shake them around after that I move them around with a towel then I sqeeze them with a towel then I wrap my dreads in a towel

thsts why u never want to wrap em in a towel u need air flow around em

try showering just when u wash your dreads and do that vinager soak u might needto a few times

then air dry no anything wrapped around em that caused the mold

get out in the sun to dry as much as u can

try not to wet them every day tuill u solve the mold only shower the days u wash em

3/4 cuopup 1/4 cup water 30-50 drops lavender oil

well u can leave it on a full day to be safe

but a few hours or whatever

u can also make a strong thyme tea

like a good handfull in a small pout simmer 20 min then strain spray on

leave on

sun or blow dry and no wrapping a towel aeround em will make alotta difference too

if its early stages just chabnging that might make enough diference

if not move om to the vinager or thyme

yes to adding lavendar! it kills mildew spores! and smeels niiiiiiiiiiice :) and relaxes you!!!
