Hey my name is Tim, I'm from VA and turn 23 next month. I started my dreadlocking journey 2 months ago with 2 medium sized ones in the back. I didnt really use a well-defined method, I did a combination of twisting, ripping, hand rolling. Didnt use any wax. They locked up nice and are maturing good after the 2 months. Now I have a whole bunch, I have my whole head started except the lower part of sides and lower back. I'm determined to keep them and decided a year or so ago to not ever cut my hair again! I love reggae and new-age hip hop music, and pretty much anything inbetween except Country and Opera! I really encourage everyone on here to try SOJA (Soldiers of Jah's Army) They are based out of DC and have some awesome Loc's but even more awesome music!!!

I've been down with Cash. And Willie Nelson is the shit! But all-in-all, country is a worthless painful-to-listen-to genre for me! Unless you wanna go chicken pluckin', worm diggin, deer huntin', bass fishin', or gun totin'- which I have been known to do (lol). But for real, i'd rather partake in such human sustaining activities while listening to the music I find DANK haahaa

Try old school country (I don't care for the new)..like Patsy Cline, B.W. Stevenson, Johnny Cash...etc. They might win you over. And if you want to,take a trip to Spain (err..youtube) & check out Chambao "papeles mojados". Thanks for SOJA.
oh, I almost forgot...Hi Tim!
