Questions about TnR process

ok so ive decided im going to do the TnR process but i have some questions before i do. ok so on to the questions :D.

1) Do dreads puff up ALOT as they begin to mature?. i created a 1 inch by 1 inch section of hair and then TnR'd it and after i was done it looked exactly like a VERY thin rat tail, will it puff up and begin to look like large dreads or am i always going to have very thin rat tails all over my hair?

2) would it be best to grab random sections of hair and just TnR or should i section?

i forgot to add this and i guess since i cant edit my post ill just put it in a reply. my hair is naturally VERY fine, i have alot of it but it is just SUPER SUPER fine and im wondering if this has something to do with why im not getting very much thickness when i TnR, im very worried that what i wind up with after i TnR as far as thickness goes is what its always going to be

one dread will bond with another eventually and yea there is what they call shrinkage which may make it get fatter

ty guys for the helpful info! :D and i guess through this i found one more question to ask. ive never actually seen anybody doing the TnR process so im wondering, are TnR dreads typically thin?? ive seen some people say they should be fat (as if you just back combed and then palm rolled) and ive seen some say they should be super thin because it means its really tight which will help with the dreading process.

1 they will always puff up to the dread section size

2 1 inch sqyares is the max u will wabnt with no room for congoing and not getting too big so starting with 1/4 to 1/2 inch is better

3 random sizes wuill look more natural

5 umm what was 5 something bout being thin yea tnr dreads start thin but oh tea i remember you do noy want tpo be trying to get them super tight that wont help the dread process but slow it they wuill need to loosen b4 they dread u want em to stay together but not be so tight they vant loosen

6 fine fine hair might be better with more thinner dreads theb fewer thicker but a mix thick and thin wll blend maling it all look fuller

17 since i think i was numbering them randomly and answering unasked questions

u can always congo thin dreads to get thicker but to split thick dreads imto thinner is very invasive and damaging so its best to not try tio get maximum thickness from the start but instead a good mix maybe just 1 1x1 to satisfy that thick dread desitre and the rest fu=ill ins that can later congo if desired

this was all VERY helpful and has calmed most of my worries if not made them go away completely so for that thank you ! :D, i just have one more worry lol, im probably just goin to grab random pieces of hair and TnR but the one thing i worry about is getting hair from other parts of my head into the TnR im doing and ending up having to re do them due to the hair i got tangled up in there tightening and pulling at my scalp...is there anything i can do for this?? will it pretty much just work its self out ? haha i promise this is the last question..im getting ready to do it in the morning , ill take some before and after photos and maybe even some video

So i didn't section at all i just grabbed random pieces of hair and started TnR, and the result was not to many dreads on my head..or layered sections of dreads...ive tried looking through the forums here for all the info i needed but i end up more confused and with more questions then answers, i took pictures of the horror but im not sure if i should even bother posting them or to just put some detangler in my hair and take it all out...seems like everything i have done so far has been completely wrong based on the few threads i found just recently...i could REALLY use some help
