hey you guys i just joined your forum yesterday and i just wanted to introduce myselfmy name is kathleen. i dont have dreads yet but i plan to start them with braids. hmmm what else. i dunno at first i planned to retwist them every month or so, but then im like whats the point. but anyways you can find out more about my on my profile i guess. i hope yall stop by

welcome and yea retwistinmg really weakens the roots and can even damage the scalp

I started my dreads with braids.Are you going to freeform from there or twist?I latched a few times but then decided to freeform.

i plan to freeform. it just more easier. and i have no fear of any of my dreads thinning and breaking off. i love thick dreads.
