just laid back

Ok so since my dreadies r short I put them back all the time unless its right after I get out the shower. Every time I take off my headband or ect they stay like that. Is this bad. Prevent them from knottin up? They just won't lay down flat like bangs or something would. Advice?

Dreads need to move in order to dread, you really don't want them up all the time because the dreads being help down by the hair band, scarf, bandanna, or whatever isn't going to allow them to move, so they wont dread either.

Well it is only when I'm out in public that's wat I meant. If I didn't they'd just stick up
