Dreads wont knot

Ive had them for about Seven months and they still come undone.. any advice?

Well when they are started (im assuming you backcombed or T&R'd) in hair as short as your's they tend to have a harder time fighting for their lives than in longer hair. However 7 months sounds extremely long to me to still have issues with unraveling. Was your hair actually backcombed, or twist n' Ripped, or was it done some other way? what are your hair washing habits and what kind of soap/s do you use? are you using conditioners?

Backcombed wash about once a week with some residue free shampoo from a local walgreens.. no conditioners

did u use wax? wax slows te dreading or evewn stops it

well damn. It probably the short length then, it'll get easier as time goes by and your hair gets longer. Just don't mess with em and leave them be, it'll happen no matter how stubborn your hair is being.try to find a tam like SE said. find a wool one. wear it a lot and even sleep with it on. palm rolling does nothing unless your really obsessive about it and ten it causes a decent amount of damagejust sleeping does te same as palm rolling, it may fklatten 1 nigt ten round te nextwen u palm roll it migt round em some but a day later teyre back to te waty they wereyou have to do it excessivly to do anyting at allive never palm rolled mine even once Alex Doom said:
