Like you, I let most of my friends and family know on FB. I had a really nice picture taken and just posted a short message of look what I am doing and stressed howproud I was with the decision. Be confident because not all people you know will be as happy as you,Then sit back, youmight be amazed at the positive feedback.Good luck

I just took a picture of my hair and posted I was going to let it turn into dreads. Some of my friends are like "say what?!" But I'm not friends with judgemental people so it's not a big deal to them. I did discuss it with my kids though. I told them I was thinking about it and asked if they were "okay" with it, because I have the greatest kids they are totally supportive.
