I'll massage my scalp and my hair will pop out. I will then run my fingers through my hair and it'll shrink almost instantly and get real tight. Why is this?

I run my fingers through it to create space, and by pop out I mean the hair will noticeably be longer than before I massaged my scalp
have no idea but the way your explaining it doesnt help
not sure what you mean by create space haha
when i seperate dreads i notice they are a lil longer due to the connecting hairs near the roots binding them up but thats only like 1`/8 to 1/4 inch
