Another problem with me,i started a few months natural and quited crocheting,
i wash with bcs since vinegar makes my hair greasy a lot
(my hair is now ok and its not greasy at all when i dont use vinegar)
so i have astma, some times when i smel my dreads i have trouble with breathing a little bit,and this could get serious, because i dont know if its mold or whether im alergic to it or not,and i dont know is it bcs or something else,
i used lavander and rosmary but they dont help and my dreads dont smell wery nice at all as all people say here,
soo its a multi problem that i have encountered now and if i dont sort this out ill have to go back to crocheting or to cut them off
WHAT SHOULD I DO,IM DESPERATE,I DONT KNOW ANYONE WITH NATURALS AND IM ALL ON MY OWN,HELP!!! :(

What exactly do they smell like? A moldy musty damp towel? A wet dog? Body odor? If your hair has mold..".i dont sort this out ill have to go back to crocheting or to cut them off" crochet is not gonna fix a smell issue....I promise you that. Give me an idea of how it smells and I would love to help you :D

well like dust, something like that, and until you dont realy dig your nose you cannot feel it... :P
i said that about quiting because i never had this kind of a problem before i started natural because i washed with regular baby shampoo, and i realy dont know is breathing problem because my hair or not,but i guess i should keep in mind that my hair needs to be clean because i can in future have problem you know...
