Hi -- I don't know anyone in the Bay area, but I've definitely seen vids on YouTube. If you do a search under 'crochet dreads' you'll find some helpful hints and demos. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but don't be intimidated about doing your dreads on your own. It's a powerful journey with a lot of great lessons. I don't know what your financial situation is like, but many locticians charge so much $$$. Check out the vids and see if you get any inspiration to try it on your own. If you're dead-set on finding a loctician, I can't help but wonder if there are a number of them in maybe in Oakland and the east bay. I've heard of "natural hair salons" there over the years (I haven't heard of any in San Fran, but then again I haven't done any major searches on this side of the bay either). Good luck, luv. Drop me a line if you ever need an extra ear. Can't wait to see pics of your progress

Hello, welcome to the site! I see you're looking for a loctitian, but you don't need one nobody does. Just look around the site and see what methods you can do other than crochet. You say you like to see things in their most natural reason, so why not dread naturally? also, why are you in such dire need to dread? just curious
