You can wash that often for as long as you want. Mine are over 6 years old and I still wash that often. Once they are mature (usually about a year in), you can start washing once a week. I wouldn't wash less than that, though.
Check out the soaps from dreadlockshampoo.com. They make the best soaps for locks. ACV is not good for a wash. It doesn't clean well enough. When you do the Baking soda wash, that's when you use ACV. Rinse off the BS, and then do a quick, few second, rinse with ACV just to bring your hair and scalps pH level back to a healthy range.
If you have soft water, you can easily use Dr. Bronners, or the BS/ACV wash. But neither works well in hard water. If you're not aware yet, you don't need to wash your hair, directly. You just need to scrub your scalp and let the soap rinse through your hair when you rinse it out.
Welcome. The first thing to know is that you need to wash 2-3 times a week. You can wash once a week, but baby locks form better when you wash a bit more often.
NEVER use wax or a crochet hook. And NEVER go to a salon
