I have a friend who makes jewelry out of bottle caps. It could see them looking cool and colourful on locks, but probably not so much fun to get off

I haven't seen that before either... but I have seen some awesome macrame jewelry that used tabs instead of beads... I'm thinking that would make a pretty awesome dread wrap.

they are either stuck on by feeding the dread thru the hole otr by bending them around the dread and squeezung it tight

and really anything u can find that will stick in somehow can be used i have used rings broken earings i wire wrapped crystals to em i would pick up random lst objects found on the street and ifit stuck in a dread it stayed there

can top s i dont think of as decorative too much tho
