How do dreads work?
Do they knot from top to bottom or vice versa? for example ...my dreads are 4 months, they'll be 5 months next week! A few of my dreads are getting really knotty in the roots but it's not like spreading down ..the knots aren't spreading down to the bottom. is there a problem? or are they gonna spread eventually? ..Like if I touch the roots, it's super duper hard (that's what she said) ...but then you go down and it's just ..hair
yup although the timings not exact just an average
but just leave em be they will dread the roots will stop at 1./2 inch from the scalp the rest will dread the tips might stay loose an nch or might not but they certainly will dread without u doing a thing
ok man, thanks! ..so it will dread the whole thing you'd say in about maybe 4-5 months? ..they will make 12 months in 8 months
The root is straight hair ..then it's dreaded ..but then it's straight hair again ....am I just not being paitent?
the roots should be loose up to 3 inches loose for the 1st 8 months or so then tighten up to 1/2 inch
by root rubbing your pulling hair from the scalp your weakening the rots and causing a generally tangled mess right up flat against the scalp
stop rubbing stop everything except washing and seperating
never ever clockwise rub!!

Well in the roots, as soon as my hair starts it's just a bit of straight hair which I have to do clockwise rubbing but then it's dreaded and then it stops ...I guess that's my dread just starting and rest of it will dread later on
pics are the roots forming a hair helmet or do u have dreads just the ebds arent dreaded
it can go eirher way or both ways (thats what she said) top bottom middle in both directions
more often =n the tips or middle dread then move towarxs the roots
