Welcome. Twisting once, to get them started won't destroy them. However, continuing to twist will. It puts too much torque on your roots and scalp, causing a condition called Traction Alopecia. This actually leads directly to premature baldness. And can happen faster than you'd think. 3-4 times a year is too much. if you can ever see your scalp showing in between your sections, that's a sure sign of balding

welcome but dont twist! twisting only works in african hair and then should only be done once thats why so many are going bald

or do y mean twist and rip
