Athletics while locks are forming

I am new to dreading and my hair is in the earliest stages of separation before any knots have begun. My question is to ask whether sweating heavily due to exercise or hot weather, as well as the use of some means of tying my hair back while exercising, can have an adverse affect on lock formation?I would greatly appreciate any insight or experience anyone could share on this subject as I am an avid runner and would like to be able to keep exercising while my hair forms locks.  See More

About Me
I am interested in seeing the world grow up and out of the competitive, violent and corrupt societies that have been around since antiquity. A world without these things requires a change in the collective value systems of the world's people. For now, I'll start with myself and suggest a different way to think to those I come in contact with.
How long have you been dreading?
Since October 2011
Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
So far I've just been using neglect method with some salt/seawater and a bit of circular towel or finger twirling. I've actually worked as a hair dresser for 7 years professionally, so this is an interesting experiment into the capabilities of hair and hairstyles.
