come4 one come all for a celebration of the dreadlockssites 1st birthday
we sure have saved alot of dreads in just 1 year
august 4rth the site went live and grew quickly from day 1.
in just 1 year we've accomplished so much

ohhh what! i cannot go because i don't live in USA. :-(
If I hadn't found this website, I would have used wax, crochet needle, rubber bands at the roots and I would have cut my dreadlocks off by now. Thank God for Soaring Eagle and his Dreadlockssite.com!
Always loved the socially perceived clash of dreads (or any "outside the norm" style choice) and a suit. I can't wait to rock a suit next chance I get.
Man this is great! However, on the second picture I noticed that there is thin spiderweb on the plant. This might mean termites. Something like this might eat the plants or stop is from developing. You might wanna check out ways of preventing termit…

How I started my dreadlocks:
1. Wash hair.
2. Dry hair.
3. Section the hair. (anything from half an inch to 2 inch squares)
4. Backcomb the sections. (took my friends over 11 hours)
Maintaining:
For the first month or two I pulled the loose hair into the dreads. Then I realised that it wasn't necessary because the hair does that itself in time.
Washing:
I use baking soda and tee trea oil in a 1 litre jug mixed with water. Pour it over the head and wait for ten minutes before rinsing well. I let it air dry.

- haha ya, not even a month yet. No, I wish i had gone natural but I would have had to wear it up all the time for work and I dunno how that would have ended up. I started them off tnr, but ive jsut left them alone since then. So its like my wannabe natural ;p
