"Are you trying to split them wet or dry?  I've heard it's easier to rip them apart when they are wet.  Also, you could try using aloe Vera or olive oil to help loosen the hairs.  At 4 months it'd be a shame to comb them…"

"jojba oil/tea tree oil mixture.  about 1 part oil to 6 parts water.  in a spray bottle.  Spray once a day.  Both oils are good for hair and scalp health. Rosemary oil is great for new hair growth too."

How long have you been dreading?
i havent
Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
i dont have dreads yet but if i get them i plan to use lock powder and probably the twist and rip method purely because ive tried this and the whole back combing and rolling etc method (before combing both out ofc it was just an experiment) and the first worked so much better for me personally
