Welcome your biggest mistake was going to stylist wax is evil in dreads and a dread killer. The not washing for long time is just stupid. The best thing you can do for dreads is wash them. When you wash dreads they dread. It's that simple. The only thing you should do is wash and separate no other maintenance at all. What maintenance are you doing? If your re-twisting stop! It will make you go bald
Welcome. Did you ever use wax like they recommended? I so, you are only preventing locking and promoting a suitable environment for mold ad mildew. Wax is a hydrocarbon and does not wash out with normal soap and water. it NEEDS a detergent to clean it out. So any water that did make it to your hair, is trapped there and will eventually create a swamp of decaying hair.
If you didn't use it, don't start.
Also, check the ingredients on your mango and lime stuff. I found one that has wax as an ingredient.
I don't know about that shampoo line but ask heather about it. It may include some ingredients that leave residue and might condition too much.
Also, you should never have to do maintenance on locks. They are the simplest hair style to have. You wake up and go. If you do maintenance, you are more than likely destroying your roots
Rope braid by taking two pieces of hair twisted in the same direction then twisting them together in the opposite direction.
Dude. Let me knw. How it goes!
Hello, the bronners solution is simple. Just one part bronners to at least six times water make sure you dillute it!! for a mild soap it is very powerful stuff!!
these are best www.dreadlockshampoo.com they smell amazing
are you sure about thAt or do you just think tht
have you asked/
look fowe=r my letter to employers concerning real dreads
also how do youplan to start them then
well naturals a range freeflrm neglect organic ..subtle differencds like if u seperate or not but yea let them happen naturally
May I suggest that if you go the T & R method for dreading, (which I did), let your hair separate naturally for 2-3 weeks first. Then divide any that are larger than a quarter coin (about an inch), as you are doing the twist & rip method. Watch videos on this site to help you along, It takes time & days, depending on your hair.
Welcome & enjoy the journey you will be taking
doesnt matter what religion you are they are all basicly thesame and rastafarians follow the bible they just think jah was the holy spirit (or is it the father dude) christians jews nd rastas all dread for the same reason the bible contains the azarite vow jesus of nazarene?there never was a town called nazarene the nazarene refers to the nazarites the nazarites took the nazarite vow joseph, john the baptist jesus and sampson all wore long dreadlocks (ofcourse sampsons known for his locks pof power joseph had dreads to the ground as did john the baptist) jesus only hair mention said hair like wool well wool mats easilt=y so hair lo[[ike wool could only res=fer to either dreads or an afro
anywho the nazarites vow states that metal shal not touch the hair of the head..no tooth of comb nor blade the vow hada minumum duration of 100 days but many chose to stick with it for life
the c=vow also stted they cannot eat fruite of the vine (or drink it) or any form orf meat no chemical impurities in the food (the ital diet of the rastas) also they cant have any contact with the dead noit even a loved ones funeral
its said only the nazarites are holy enough to sl]peak directly to the devine or to enter heaven
its said come judgemnent day the most high will rake his fingers across the land and they tangle in the locks od=f the most devoted lifting them to the promiced land
straight from the bible but mi]ost cristians pick and choose what pats to believe in
you dont have to set out on a journey to reach the destination
