When you wash dreads they dread. It's that simple. The only thing you should do is wash and separate no other maintenance at all.

Welcome. Did you ever use wax like they recommended? I so, you are only preventing locking and promoting a suitable environment for mold ad mildew. Wax is a hydrocarbon and does not wash out with normal soap and water. it NEEDS a detergent to clean it out. So any water that did make it to your hair, is trapped there and will eventually create a swamp of decaying hair.
If you didn't use it, don't start.
Also, check the ingredients on your mango and lime stuff. I found one that has wax as an ingredient.
I don't know about that shampoo line but ask heather about it. It may include some ingredients that leave residue and might condition too much.
Also, you should never have to do maintenance on locks. They are the simplest hair style to have. You wake up and go. If you do maintenance, you are more than likely destroying your roots
Hello, the bronners solution is simple. Just one part bronners to at least six times water make sure you dillute it!! for a mild soap it is very powerful stuff!!
May I suggest that if you go the T & R method for dreading, (which I did), let your hair separate naturally for 2-3 weeks first. Then divide any that are larger than a quarter coin (about an inch), as you are doing the twist & rip method. Watch videos on this site to help you along, It takes time & days, depending on your hair.
