Need a dreadie pep talk please

It is human nature to look in a mirror and not be satisfied by every detail. I been there before especially when others stare cause they never seen dreaded folks. Loose the mirror everyone is beautiful in many ways.Mirrors can play nasty tricks on ones self esteem and make us do crazy things. Eight months, a yearwas realhard for me sometimes, now when I see these same things I just dont care anymore. Dont you think folks comin out of salons and barbers think the same thing on certain days? bet they do. But I bet butterflies and birds and flowering trees, andtoddlersdon't. So I focus on trying to be more like them. Hope this at least makes you smile, peace

How to separate DREADS from the root? Help please :)

Dread Maintenance

I used to cut a little at a time but I would not recommend this because if you slip and cut off a dread your going to wish that you would have just loved the webbing that you had. I hate the sound of ripping though,hmm. I have the same issue of constant webbing and I have just decided to let it be. Although, i have a few congos, none are giant or anything. I guess I would think they do this for a reason. My dreads do all sorts of funny things all the time, I dont understand any of it but I like it that way. Just dont use a scissors its asking for trouble. Hope this helps at least a little
