If not, I have an entire bag of random shinies that I'm definitely up for trading -- can send you pics of those as well. Oh, and I learned the hard way that the beads I made are, unfortunately, not waterproof -- wet clay is a total b!@#$ to get out of dreads. XD Trying to find a waterproof varnish to test out right now. What kind of shinies do you have?
I would suggest wash your hair more. dry [not conditioned] clean hair dreads up faster. if you hair was processed in any way should speed up the process too. the TnR will fall out, let the hair section naturally for a few weeks, then start to tNr them again.
Daaaang I used to go to HT all the time as a kid; undoubtedly saw you there at some point! I actually live in Grand Rapids now -- can't figure out how to change my location, heh. But I do miss TC. Half the roads are closed down here due to flooding right now. :o How's the dreading going? And yeah, just search my name on Facebook; you should find me w/o any problems.
i'm assuming you've already purchased but to start i would give the sea salt spray a go, & then later the locking gel could be used to tame frizzies & things (& it smells oh so good!) i've tried my own sea salt spray & didn't notice much for results, could just be my hair, but i do hear the pink Himalayan stuff is pretty great (if you check out Robyns progress, it's pretty amazing what the stuff has done for her!) as far as shampoo the liquid made my hair soft & it already being soft & silky didn't really work well for me (but it has sea salt in it & i hear other people have had good results with it, plus it smells great) I liked the bars a lot & noticed changes in my hair while using them. If you are worried about scrubbing the liquid you could put a little bit in a jar or bottle with water, shake well & then pour over, & rinse, similar to the no-scrub baking soda method.
hay there fellow mama Congrats on the pregnancy! & yes i'm on my 3rd, nearing the end soon. i'm very excited for birth & to meet the baby & for the pregnancy to be over, although i know i'll miss things about it, i get so sick & useless I don't miss that bit! we don't get any ultrasounds & we enjoy the surprise so we haven't a clue what we will get until birthday <3 it'll be fun to see if it's a little he or she this round.
