well it has been 1 year since i stopped brushing. i think around 8-9 months i had a little progress, but i did a baking soda wash and it all straightened out. no more knots.
so my question.. should i keep waiting? should i try another method? TNR? i wash usually every other day, sea salt spray sometime, no idea why baking soda loosened everything and why nothing has really came back.
nope.. if i wait too long to wash it gets oily. but that usually doesnt happen

well u certainly gave it a good go if you want to tnr then go ahead what do i typicaly wash with tho
any other details like how u dry if u tie it up or wear a hat alot etc

i usually wash with lockin up shampoo, i did use another dread shampoo before this, but it ran out. i air dry, dont touch it much.
i dont tie it up, i dont wear hats (i did get a tam but only wore it a couple times)
it seems like when i do get a little knot or section it just comes out. is it not long enough yet for my hair type?
its long enough ..just u maybe in that less then 1% that takes a real long time to dread
if you dont reallu mind if it takles forever keep doing what youir doing if not then tnr..or well..go to the gathering this summer..its just possible that thats all u need haha
I wish i could go to the gathering, but im already going to Farm Fest
this summer. I dont think the wife will like it if i go to both.
Its a tough decision, i really want to see some dreads, but will tnr take me back? not really much to go back to though.
its funny though, my wife is jamaican and i got her to go natural after a few years of trying, her hair knots up in a day and she doesnt want dreads yet. she wants my hair and i want hers.
go to the gathering instead then..nothing else can compare

if it was even slightly tanglu id maybe say just stick in some beads ..
